The XFL post-season should be over before TC starts so unless players can't break their contracts they could forseeably do both. Most will never start in the NFL but I'm sure a handful will have multi-year NFL careers. If nothing else it's something else to watch for a week or two.

Yeah. I'm on the other side of the argument for a skill sport like baseball or basketball, but football is mostly an in-shape and coaching sport.

If they are NFL hopefuls, they're training anyway. Getting paid for coaching and national exposure is a no brainer unless they've given up on football completely.

I guess I gotta root for the Seattle Dragons too because they picked Keenan Reynolds.

Keenan Reynolds and Kasen Williams. Seattle has some talent at WR. I remember a few years ago Kasen had a great preseason and Seahawks game were pissed that he didn't make the roster, then he flamed out with the Browns.

If Sammie Cotes ever learns to catch he will be MVP. I think I'm going to be a Houston Roughriders fan. Although the Dragons and Battle Hawks have a better name and logo.

The BASE pay is $27,000. Why would anyone remotely decent bother to do this instead of just working at a used car lot in their high school town? Just horrible, I thought the base pay was $55,000.

You're talking about football players. The vast majority will cling to any semblance of athletic relevance for the "glory" than realize they aren't going to make it big and enter the world of us normies. They all believe they are about to make it big and just need their break in this league before the NFL comes calling.

I would much rather play XFL football than be a soulless used car salesmen

Maybe it's only $27,000 until you verify your American citizenship

We're about to see some fucked up looking scores.

These additions could be really cool if offenses are competent which I have my doubts.

The time alternating plays in overtime feels sloppy compared to something like college. Does the home team automatically go first because there is no coin flip?

Have both offenses and defenses on the field during OT, use both endzones, that way there's no time wasted in the alternating plays. Run your substitutions in during the other play.

I like the point-after options, but the punting rules and kickoff rules are odd. Curious to see how those go.

And they should have brought back the scramble for the ball instead of a coin flip.

It’s time boys.

Love seeing former Giant FB Nikita Whitlock is a DT. Every once in a while for the Giants he’d line up there in 3rd and long and just keep spinning till he got through the line.

Not sure many marriages are going to survive year round football.

That first kickoff was certainly interesting.
