Sounds a lot like the team we have now lol.

Sadly it does.

Saban is really one of the few coaches in the world that has been able to handle Belichick in their career. In the interest of chasing super bowls i feel like that is Sabans strongest positive on his coaching resume.

He would be an upgrade over Garrett as most coaches would be though.
I liked the way Urban used Alex Smith at Utah... he made Tebow a God... Ohio St QB were always maximized. And he developed talent everywhere.

D. What do you think about him leaving florida? What do you think of him leaving ohio state? Ive already been clear im not a fan but curious what you think about those situations. This feels like you wanting to hire Bob Stoops all over again. Who by the way is now coaching in the xfl.

Doesn't bother me that he has sone skeletons in his closet. Gives him moxie. Lol. Ginger is pure as snow and he doesn't know what it takes to win.

Been wanting a replacement for Ginger since the days when Stoops used to coach. So sad.

Isn't he a GM? I didn't think he was back into coaching.

They might suck worse than us.

Still rather have that schedule than ours.

They Play Giants twice while we get Chicago and LA.

Another one of those "Let the coaches pick instead of following the board" Picks.

Quote:
Clarence Hill Jr
@clarencehilljr

Chiefs rookie safety Juan Thornhill with the pick six against the Raiders.
Guess who still needs a playmaking safety
Guess who decided Trysten Hill was a better pick than Juan Thornhill.
Guess who hasn't made a play all season, compared Thornhill who has started every game

Linehan must have been a prick to the media because they were all over the guy and he had way more success as an OC in 2014 and 2016 than Marinelli ever had in Dallas.

They rightly ran Linehan out of here last year and yet you only read positive articles about Rod. He needed to go a long time ago. And a smart organization like Seattle doesnít just let a good coach go, Richard is another guy who clearly canít adjust when the opponent does things he doesnít expect.

I don't understand why he's so bad that he can't even see the field.

I'm trying to think of it like the way folks used to think the Niners DL picks were busts, but they really just needed time to develop.

He was very immature in college and didn't get to start his last year as a way to try to motivate him. Rod made him sign a contract before we drafted him basically promising him he'd work hard and do the things Rod asked of him. All the red flags were there but Rod was enamored with his speed and first step he possesses. Falling asleep in meetings has put him deep into the dog house. Only himself to blame. I cant imagine he was our top rated player when we picked, that was Rod banging the table for him.

BTW he has seen the field, we just haven't noticed because he hasn't made many, if any, plays.

This is me. Only Ive been saying it for over 10 years haha.

Coaches come and go, players come and go, results stay the same. Only 1 family to blame. It used to be just Jerry but now his son is just as bad if not worse.

ďformer Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman says he thinks Jason Garrett has done a good job in a tough position, and that the way the organization is run can be a detriment to the team.Ē

Garrett stinks. This is Troy trying to make amends for calling his friend out a few weeks back.

If anything, the program that Dallas has built in the 2010s is arguably a top 5 organization, itís just led by a coach who canít adjust, doesnít value special teams and doesnít hire quality assistants for fear heíll get canned.

I'd argue Jerry hired those coaches and makes the HC try to work with them. Zero NFCC games, 3 playoff wins in 23 years, is not a top 5 organization. Even in the 2010's we haven't won anything of significance. Im not arguing Garrett is a good coach, because he's not, but to Troys point it starts at the top and we've had many HC's in the last 23 years and none of them had success working under the Jones's. Do you really believe if Jerry hires a new HC at the end of this year he's going to allow the new HC to clean house and bring in all new coordinators, and a whole new staff? I dont. I think he'll hire another Garrett type that can/will work with the coaches that are already here. If we hire an Urban, Lincoln, or Peyton but Jerry tells them they have to keep the current staff, how much of a difference will it make really?
