Miami could see Burrow, Young, and Thomas off the board and decide to trade down if they aren't enamored with Justin Herbert. No way they're taking Tua without knowing if he's going to be 100% at some point. People forget his stock was dropping anyways.

edit: if he's there with the Steelrs pick that's a whole differant scenario.

1.) Cincy - Burrow
2.) NYG - Young
3.) WASH - Thomas

Easy one-two-three right now.

How are we feeling about the other QBs though? How many others (and who) go in the first round?

Nothing about Georgia was impressive against LSU, but Thomas is still going to be a very high pick.

Medical evals will be crucial for him but I don’t see how Tua doesn’t go in the early teens at the latest. I’ll say 3; Herbert is classic “tall strong-armed white guy that we can mold but turns out to suck ass” so it’s required he to top-10.

That kid from Utah State looks like he has the attention of some people, maybe he climbs to the end of the first but I’m pretty far away from saying that happens with any confidence

I think there are a number of playoff-level teams (Steelers, Saints, Pats, Colts?) who will trade up if Tua gets anywhere close barring catastrophic medical news. He may not even make it that far.

And yeah, Herbert goes high. He'll be that QB who always falls stupidly far in our forum mocks but goes in the top 10 in reality.

I could see the Pats grabbing Tua and turning him into Brady 2.0, thus proving the Systom Brady theory.

Wouldn’t be shocked if Wills is the first OT taken.

He seemed to struggle some with a couple of stunts but straight up I thought he looked really good. Handled Chaisson pretty well when they were head to head..

Willie Gay is thinking about declaring. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him get picked in the late first/early second, Mississippi State wasn’t great this year but he is an absolute monster. Can do it all, wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up being one of the best linebackers in the NFL. When he runs in the 4.4’s at the combine people will start taking notice.

Are there people who literally believe that the greatest football player of all time is a replaceable cog?

Nice draft. I like a lot of the fits. Like of course the ravens will get Delpit. And why wouldn’t the chiefs get dobbins to wreck havoc.

I think Green Bay passing on an offensive weapon for a LB would drive me to drink heavily.

People have been giving the Vikings a LB for years early in mocks and it just isn't a need. We have Barr/Kendricks on big, long term deals, and we spend most of our time in the nickel. Even the backups are plenty competent for their snap counts. As much as I hate to say it, corner might be our biggest weakness. Also will need to shore up the interior DL.

While I am not getting my hopes up, rumors circulating around Iowa that both Epenesa and Wirfs are considering returning next year. I would absolutely love that but I can't see anyone returning when they are projected in the top 15 and going to absolutely destroy workouts.

The Patriots took a running back in the first round 2 years ago...and unfortunately it’s still a need.
