I probably wouldn't do that trade, but I'm a little risk averse when it comes to rookie RBs. Drake is the clear lead back who showed the potential to be a RB1 last season.

Howard was outsnapped considerably by Gronk last week, 20ish snaps I think. There are like 5 mouthes to feed in Tampa so he's a risky play, but if Brady trusts him he could have a good year.

I think the Phillip Rivers effect of throwing 40% of all passes to RB really does it for me. Hines is there sure, but Taylor is going to be the goal line back. The only thing aside from injury I could see change the Colts backfield is if they sign Freeman or Miller who would both eat just a little into JT's work on running downs.

Drake was great, and did look good this year. I just see a large bust factor for him, so trading for a rookie isn't really that alarming to me.

Jones looked good. Miami on paper should have good DB's. I'd probably go with Jones.

Would you drop either of Preston Williams or Carlos Hyde for Jerrick McKinnon?

uggghhh that's tough. McKinnon's status also impacts me because with Connor hurt/bad, I need to choose between:

Robinson
Dobbins
Mostert
Swift

With swift being the low end of that totem pole

Why is McKinnon desirable? I guess he's worth stashing but Coleman was limited because of a pre-existing condition that the air quality fucked with. I'd wait another week on McKinnon.

Scotty, I'd start Mostert and Dobbins.

Robinson saw every single carry for the Jags week 1, but they’re likely to be playing from behind more often and he doesn’t seem to factor into the passing game too much. Still worth hanging on to for now since he’s good for 15+ carries a game.

Dobbins is going to take over that backfield eventually and offers more as a receiver than Ingram so definitely hang onto him. I’d keep him on your bench for now unless you’re desperate for a flex play.

Mostert is a quality RB2/Flex for now but Shanahan has a very real crush on McKinnon and if he can stay healthy he’s probably a solid flex play too with his pass catching ability.

I’d cut Swift for McKinnon if you’re going to add him at all. He’s probably in the dog house after that dropped TD cause Patricia is a dork. Plus he’s got AD/Kerryon stealing touches. I don’t expect Swift to be fantasy viable unless one of those two gets hurt.

Shanahan loves him and he’s easily the best pass catching back in San Fran. He probably loses some touches once Deebo comes back but I think he’s worth a stash and could be a solid flex play depending on matchup

I guess if you have a spot (such as losing Mack), it's worth a stash. But it seems very reactionary and not a move with real long term implications.

But not everyone could be the guy who foresaw Snell and Malcolm Brown happening. I'd be looking for guys who 2-3 weeks from now could be THE guy on their team. Where McKinnon is always going to be complimentary in my opinion.

Brown is probably going to split with Akers, and Snell with Conner whenever he comes back. Brown has the best shot of the 3 to be a lead back, but I’d say all 3 will be in a committee of some sort

I don't think Snell will be in a committee if Conner is healthy.

Unless he straight up steals Conner’s job they’ll split carries

When is Conner ever healthy? He couldn't make it through one week. There will definitely be games this season where Snell is the unquestioned starter.

Wentz should be better but honestly they’ll probably both finish around QB11-15 on the year.

Pick my PPR flex this week:
Darius Slayton vs Chicago
JK Dobbins vs Houston
Henry Ruggs vs New Orleans (MNF)

I hope you went Dobbins last week like I suggested. Same for this week.
