Default All Time NFL Draft Depth Chart Thread

Now that we’re doing 26 rounds - 13 each side of the ball - it’s probably best to have a spot to list your roster/depth chart to make sure you don’t over draft one side of the ball.

This is also where we will post our final Depth Charts with our bullet points explaining our strategy

The way to win to any football game is adaptability and versatility. The London Jets were drafted and stocked to perform any duty on offense or defense. Just when you think have all the answers, we change all the questions. Here are just some of the many concepts this team deploys:

OFFENSE

Shotgun: 4 WR aka "Air Raid"
QB: Patrick Mahomes
HB: Jim Brown
WR: Michael Thomas
WR: Bullet Bob Hayes
WR: Cris Carter
WR: Paul Warfield
LT: Orlando Pace
LG: Jim Parker
C: Dermontti Dawson
RG: Nate Newton
RT: Joe Jacoby

Patrick Mahomes, the most physically gifted quarterback of his generation, and maybe any generation, lines up in a formation and scheme designed specifically for his strengths. If nobody is open downfield, Jim Brown, the greatest football player of all-time, is ready for dump offs and blocking. That's 11 guys on the field and two of them aren't Barry Sanders or Kellen Winslow Sr, maybe the two greatest ever at their position, and that's just because they don't ideally fit that specific attack. But that's the beauty of it, I can hit you from all over the fucking place. I want to get the lead quick through the air and then balance it out with the run to eat up time.

At this point I'm too fucked up and bored with just making lists but I know how to write, so I'm gonna write instead of just making a list for why my team is dope. It won't be that long. Do you have anything better to do right now than get schooled about football anyway? The world is going to shit right now, let's distract ourselves with the things we love. I'm gonna keep it brief for the most part but some of these players need to be explained. Everything I'm about to tell you about this squad is factual. You can look this shit up yourself.

I can go deep, I have two guys who averaged over 20.0 yards per catch in their career and they're both in the Hall of Fame. One of them is an Olympic gold medalist, the other ran a 4.5 in full gear, they're gonna translate that speed to a modern NFL without any problem. I've already been over Bullet Bob, he's legitimately in the argument as one of the ten fastest human beings to ever live and 19.1% of his catches went for scores. Bob Hayes ran the 70 yard dash in 6.9 seconds, if he were to run the 40 yard dash at the same speed his time would be 3.94. Bombs from Mahomes all day. The only guy that can cover him on a deep route is Darrell Green and I have him. If you wanna argue that Deion could keep up, I'm willing to at least entertain the notion but fine, I have a million other ways to fuck you up.

Paul Warfield is the most underrated player in the history of the sport. Between 1966 and 1974, he averaged 21.9 yards per catch and caught 55 touchdowns on only 260 catches, that's a touchdown every 4.7 catches. He was a beast in the playoffs in 1971 too, with 13 catches for 304 yards and a touchdown in three games. The only reason people don't know him more is that he played in an era where the run was king. He played for the Browns and Dolphins in that time frame, both teams with Hall of Fame rushing attacks. The game was simpler, but skills are skills, there's no reason that level of speed and that efficiency for the endzone can't translate to a modern game. He was a fantastic blocker too.

You know who Michael Thomas and Cris Carter are, one of 'em is only the second receiver ever to win Offensive Player of the Year by shattering the reception record and the other was better at sideline and endzone toe tap catches than probably anyone ever. The numbers speak for themselves with Cris Carter but that added element is going to be a bonus. The other receiver I have is Kellen Winslow Jr. and he was the same size as Antonio Gates but his impact on the game was much greater, especially in terms of a historical perspective, he was the first of the ex-basketball type of tight ends that became Gates, Gonzalez, and Graham. The dude once caught 5 touchdowns in one game! Per 16 games he's still tied for first among tight ends (79) and is second in yards (990) and had an average of 12.5 for 7 touchdowns.

I can run, I have two guys who averaged over 6.0 yards per carry in their peak seasons with Brown and Sanders. I shouldn't have to explain the value of either of these two guys. It's pathetic Brown fell as far as he did in the draft. 6'2", 232 pounds, every physical and mental attribute you could ever want. There's no way he wouldn't be a force in the modern NFL. He's regarded as the GOAT among anyone worth their shit. You know Barry Sanders, I don't have to explain that one but imagine the two of them in the same backfield splitting touches. We're talking about the top two running backs all-time in terms of rushing yards per game. Neither would get tired. I can burn up clock with ease thanks to the two of them.

My offensive line is stacked, you know Orlando Pace, an absolute unit if there ever was one, the best blocker on the most explosive offensive unit we've ever seen. It's a crime Jim Parker fell all the way to the last round of the draft. Played both guard and tackle and was elite at both. He was a unique physical specimen for any era, especially his. He was over 300 pounds and could run well, with power and smarts. Bob Lilly called him the best he ever faced. So did Sam Huff. And others did, too. Deacon Jones named Parker the second best player he'd ever seen (behind only Jim Brown). He was an unanimous selection to the NFL 100 team for a reason. Dermontti Dawson was probably the most decorated offensive lineman of the 90s; it's between him and Larry Allen. On the other side of the line is the best member of the Hogs, Joe Jacoby, and a guy who should be in the Hall of Fame was nearly as good as the aforementioned Larry Allen: Nate Newton, another beast of a man at 6'3" and 318 pounds. I have member of the Hogs and the member of the Great Wall of Dallas playing side-by-side. That's an elite right side of the line.

Zone blitzing is our main tactic. We want to hurt people with Night Train and Butkus too.

First to 4 votes wins. Both D and Fenikz can post explaining how their team matches up against the other

I would love an explanation from D-Unit as to how on Earth my team is worse than SP's. In fact, fuck him I'm automatically voting against him no matter what.

Actually fuck Fenikz too. My team doesn't even have a weakness and has easily the best O-Line and secondary here.

Brodie had cheatcode corners, elite O-Line, with a workhorse back and a super efficient QB. There was a formula for a really good team. Shockingly, he built a very efficient team that is also very boring. The folks at home usually aren't into boring.

But in the end, this is all that matters.

Yea that secondary alone means his team deserves top 3 consideration. I went back and forth on him and Alex as 3/4 but in the end it didn't matter how I ranked those two because....

I put you second!

It's not my fault D-Unit saw the vision for my dual qb offense. He's a visionary.
