The fact that he’s already gotten in serious, serious trouble for this shit before is the damning thing. Not just on him but everyone who allowed him to keep putting himself in these positions. I’m not trying to sound preachy and I’m far from perfect, but seems like it happens a lot with Reid’s guys. His MO is second chances and being forgiving which can be a good thing, but there are limits.

I've driven with two or three drinks in me and ADHD meds plenty of times before, it's not that fucking hard. As a matter of fact, the only time I've ever gotten into accidents is when I was stone cold sober because I didn't have the fear of God in me over what would happen if I screwed up and hit something or someone.

2-3 drinks 'earlier' in the night isn't even that much. If that is how much he actually consumed, when he actually consumed it, he may have been under the limit. Has his blood alcohol reading been released?
