One grandpa was in Vietnam, the other was in the Korean war. I know one has survivor's guilt and my other would sometimes have flashbacks when helicopters flew over or other random noises.. I never asked them anything about their experiences even though I was interested.

Yeah, I can’t handle liquor like I used to. A few weeks ago I had about 5 beers and probably four stiff pours of bourbon and I blacked out.

Starting with some outside beers for happy hour at my friends house early while its not very cold and then probably switching to red wine for the remainder of the night when I get home.

Also ending 2020 with a McRib for lunch. Seems like a perfect fit to me.

Trying to convince the lady to stay in. New Years has never been my thing. One of her friends is having people over, and one of my friends is having people over. My angle is that the fair thing to do would be go to neither so nobody feels slighted.

Picking up dinner from a fancy steak place and going to a friend's house. Steak, lobster and champagne, eating outside on their patio. Then switching to martinis after dinner. It's also me and my wife's anniversary.

NYE isn't really my thing any more so even when things are open we maybe go out to dinner at like 6-630 and then get home. Tonight we're staying in and a friend is coming over, gonna have a nice steak we got for xmas, and I'll crack open a 21 year old irish whiskey I got for xmas.

Planning to get to about a 7, might end up about 8-8.5 if the whiskey is as delicious as I think it will be.

A lot of outside under the tent dining here in Edmonds so will probably have an early meal washed down with wine then go home and drink more wine. Otherwise no different than any other night.

One of my friends got engaged and moved into a nice farm house in upstate NY with her fiancé working the farm so me and my gf are gonna join them on the farm for the evening and have a nice dinner, drink, dance a little, and smoke a lot. Should be pretty low key but a nice way to bring in the new year. Good wine, fresh grass fed beef, and good company, can’t think of a better way to celebrate.

NYE cam and went for me. We've had a late year outbreak in Sydney so everyone was limited to 3 guests in their homes. I could see some of the fireworks from my balcony though which was neat.
