Pat Fitzgerald is 46, has been Northwestern’s coach for 15 seasons, and just signed a 10 year extension. As long as he doesn’t have a Paterno-esque scandal, he is going to go down as an absolute legend there.

As much as it pains me, Fitz is a really good coach. I think his ceiling is winning 1-2 Big 10 titles by the time he's ready to retire which is nothing to sneeze at but that has more to do with jNW's ceiling than his.

With the pending sanctions on Tennessee, UCF is the better job. Nowadays, UT is essentially a pipeline to becoming an assistant under Saban.

Love that we are getting guys outside of the southeast again. Signed a few highly coveted guys out of the northeast this year, and Malone is the biggest get of all. Brought Chris Patridge to Oxford to recruit the northeast and he’s killed it. Hopefully we just aren’t as stupid about everything as we were with Freeze and co, but things are looking up again
