TVs are very cheap nowadays so if you want to upgrade, go for it. But if you don't need to, there's no reason to at the moment as long as you're happy with your television.

I can't speak for gaming however. With PS4k coming out soon, if you're a big video gamer, perhaps there will be a need to have a 4k TV to take advantage of the upcoming gaming experience associated with it. But the TV experience? Negligible in my opinion right now.

4k gaming on PC is pretty amazing, but the consoles won't be able to do it all that well (it takes a shitload of power to do properly - the consoles don't have that power). I'm probably getting a PS4 Pro, but that's just because there are a few games I want to play.

That said, I might look into a 4K TV since I may be in the market for a second TV soon, anyway and why not have the option?

Ps4 pro right now seems, not even superfluous due to lack of true 4k, but just halfassed. No 4k streaming video for a more expensive console and most games wont get a 4k boost. The regular will probably be dirt cheap this bf tbh

I was planning on holding off on PS4 Pro until the price goes down. So maybe next year at best.

I can't justify it. On one hand, I really want one for the novelty, but I already have a Raspberry Pi on my TV that has every game and was cheaper, anyway.

I have a very legit gaming PC and can't do 4K properly, PS4 in 4k will be laughable

FYI just saw that bestbuy has Roku 3 for $50. That's a steal.

Dunno if other sites do or not. Only drawback is the 3 doesn't do 4K. I don't have 4K so it's not a problem for me.

I'm not ready yet to invest in streaming TV. Well...I am. But the better half channel surfs a lot and wouldn't be comfortable making the switch yet. In time though.

My list is a dyson vacuum cleaner, nest thermostat, laptop, classic NES, maybe an iPhone 7, and some rugs if they go on sale.

Depending on your provider, they have apps for Roku that are better than the shitty cable box experience.

Steepandcheap.com usually has good prices on Northface, Patagonia, etc. if you don't find anything in Black Friday
