I could be very wrong, but from my understanding you don't have to make your position on shorts public. However you do when you publicly say negative things about a company. You then have to disclose your position. I think some dumb dumb did this and all these guys picked up on it.

It seems like anyone who was actually wanting to make money on this already made it and got out. Those holding now just want to play chicken to try and bleed them dry.

OGI and ACB have been good to me. I set money aside for a down payment but have been priced out of the market right now (Ottawa is fucked). I'm making decent money right now and have just started investing. I started slow and put 1000 into the two stocks above. In a week my return has been 25%. Not bad!

EDIT: I also just bought 80 shares of JUSHF. Small time for now as I teach myself the ropes.

Well my investment property sale was wired to me late last week, so I'm glad I didn't dump it into the market yet

Been so lucky with canadian banks stocks bought 300 of BMO under 70 bucks in the middle of 2020.

Random thoughts as I stare at an awful lot of red: ABNB up, DDASH down as we move closer to reopening. Weird. Who could've seen that coming. PTON has to figure out a play and reconvince people that going to the gym for cardio is fucking stupid. Feels like AAPLs at a discount, because people think they'll get hit as hard as Google, Amazon and Facebook by Congress. Surprised to see a lot of red even after non-pandemic related companies strongly beat earnings.

Curious what the smarter finance folks think.

There is an average of 3 5% corrections a year, so we'll see if thats all this or if we're on our way to the bear

In case anyone’s looking at it, Oscar Health is bullshit. It may bump because what fucking doesn’t anymore, but the company behind it is another basic ACA provider that won’t ever fully take advantage of the “tech” Oscar is pushing. It can’t break into the MA market which is really the only place you can make a lot of money on the payer side.

Not investment advice or anything, obviously, just a heads up on what will probably be another stupidly overvalued IPO. ONEM and OSH are still better companies/ideas. Alignment, if it ever trades, is also a better bet, though it’ll never be a unicorn.
