Good idea. I've never considered blocking someone before but I just did it for towel. If the bit was even somewhat interesting or fun, I'd get it but he is boring. It's always the same thing regardless of thread and it doesn't add to the conversation good or bad. He's just boring.

best depends on a lot of stuff but LG CX line is what I want for gaming. It's OLED though so I am worried about burn in

it's a smart tv though, idk that you will find many good tvs that aren't smart tvs. Just accept that every business and every government already knows every single thing you do and move on

LG seems to have the best panels right now, but tons of other brands (including Vizio and Sony) use those panels.

I wonder if you can disable the smart tv features. I've never looked into it. I didn't think I'd use the smart functionality on mine, but I am pretty embedded into it now. Being able to cast to it from another device so I can watch sketchy streams is great. So is being able to tell my Echo to turn it off if I'm upstairs taking a shit and decide I'm staying upstairs for whatever reason.

I just hope facebook doesn't get into the tv game, their VR goggles make you create a facebook profile to use it which is probably the next step for TVs and such

Is Jerruh onto something with Sony televisions? I know they used to be quite well regarded, but has it changed?

I have a cheap 55in Hisense because I don't use my TV very often, but it's surprisingly good for a budget TV.

I’ve already got a roku, so it’s not the connectivity that bothers me so much as that like, Samsung includes ads on their set and I’m not into that on something I ostensibly own. If the set itself is disconnected, I can always homebrew a Pi or something of the set functionality changes.

What size do you want, budget, and do you want or care about having an OLED?

I just got a 65" LG CX OLED and it's pretty dope. I don't use the smart features because I like my roku. I came to terms with possible burn in and I'm just gonna avoid watching something like CNN for hours. With the new techniques build in I'm not so worried. I'm still gonna game on it.
