If its #1 all of those teams are in play.

I can also see the Cowboys depending on how it goes with Dak. If they have a top 3 pick and really don't want to pay him, it could happen.

I'd pick atlanta, the matt ryan era is over and blank is going to be looking for a little excitement on his way out of this world, although i think it will go badly

Atlanta is stuck with Ryan for another 2+ years. That contract is a woofer. $50-60 million in dead cap if they cut him next off-season.

Theyíve been the least competitive team in the league thus far and I donít really see that changing so I think they end up with Lawrence regardless.

I think Darnold gets a second chance somewhere and does better with some talent around him and a legitimate coaching staff. Heís quite talented. Sloppy footwork is a problem he keeps working on and not fixing, but I think he makes enough plays with a good group around him.

Heís in his third year now though and the Jets are basically in year one of a rebuild so I think they have to move on since his contract situation wonít align at all with them trying to build a team from the ground up. Overall talent level is horrific.

Dude looks like a Clausen cousin, but his arm's legit. Does BYU run a real offense these days?

Also, how long till Lawrence makes it clear he won't play for either never-ending NY shit show?

I think I'd rather either NY team than Jacksonville.

I'd rather be shot in the foot than the knee, but if those are my only options, I'm still getting shot.

And I'd go to Canada before the Jets. It might've only been once, but at least the Jags have been to the playoffs this decade.

If the current standings hold, I'd probably try to engineer a move to Minnesota. Some pieces on offense, a good OC and a defense I imagine would be a lot better with Hunter and Barr. You could say the same about Atlanta, in terms of offensive pieces, though who knows what you'll get for coaching.

Jets have Becton, 2 extra firsts and New York.

He's from GA and plays in SC so maybe he'll be fine in Jacksonville tho.

Washington gets the number one pick, Lawrence decides to stay in school for his senior season to avoid that shit show, Dan Snyder is hunted and chased out of DC in a giant fan uprising that mirrors Gaddafi's death in Libya.

Friend of mine who is a huge Giants fan says the G-men should trade the pick if they get it and roll with Daniel Jones. Not sure what sort of analogy fits here but that seems like a very bad idea.

There isn't a team currently in the realistic running for Lawrence who should pass on him for their current QB. Not a one. "Earning" the #1 pick with him as starter is evidence enough that he isn't the guy.

(I don't count the Texans as in running for the #1 pick because Watson will eventually be worth some wins.)

Why don't tanking teams get real weird with it? Run obscure formations, go for it every 4th down, sign someone very tall to block kicks, sign the fastest guy you can find to play WR and run straight to the endzone every play. I just feel like there is a lost of wasted opportunity and the PR from being this cool could shield the coach/gm and maybe save their jobs.

*puff*

Nah, they get hyper conservative in order to a.) not get fired even sooner and b.) protect their reputations for their next jobs (be it a coordinator or a future head coaching opportunity).

Probably the only teams that wonít stumble to a few wins are the Jags and Jets. Iím in the camp that thinks a southerner like Lawrence would rather play in Florida.

You shut your goddamn mouth Babs.

Irv finally getting looks and Jefferson emerging doesn't bode well for the tank

If you can trade Thielen to a contender, maybe things change. Could probably get a 2nd or something from the Ravens,

Oops forgot he was leading the NFL in TDs. Fine, a first.
