If we are going to pay a QB big money, go get Brady for 3 years and draft a guy. Brady hasn't had weapons like ours since he played with Moss. This OLine, Zeke, Coop, Jarwin, Cobb, and Gallup along with Brady? Championship! Unfortunately its just a dream, Jerruh loves him some Dak.

Speak it into existence!

Quote:
Cowboys Trading Dak Prescott and Signing Patriots QB Tom Brady Being Discussed by 'Significant People,' says Michael Irvin.

Speaking on topic Friday on WEEI’s “Dale & Keefe,” NFL Network’s Irvin, - a legendary and plugged-in former Cowboy - shared a Super Bowl Week conversation that he termed "shocking'' that he had with “very significant people.”

From Irvin: “I am telling you right now, at the Super Bowl in Miami, some very significant people that I had conversations (with were) leaning in that same direction. It was shocking. I had a vodka cranberry in my hand and when they said it to me I put the drink down and said, ‘Let’s talk a little bit more about this.’

"I promise you, I had a conversation with people, I can’t tell you who, about that same scenario going down.”

Good point on how Romo signed a team friendly deal and that seems to be what the cowboys have expected with dak up till this point.
Romo’s deal was anything but team friendly. He got paid 14% of the cap. Which was one of the richest deals for a qb ever until A rod signed his deal. Still one of the largest deals in guaranteed money ever, for a comparison he got paid more than DLaw on a deal that was made 7 years prior on a much smaller cap.

Call me nuts but Marriotta with McCarthy is a better options than Dak or Brady.

Been talking through some fun trades.

Would you trade Dak and 17 for pick 1?

Tagging and trading a QB that his original team doesn't even want and expecting that team to pay 30+mil/year on a long-term deal?

And getting 1 from Cincy for Dak and 17? That would value him at about the third overall pick.

Getting Mariota to be a starter for 6-8 million?

You guys sound as delusional as us giants fans.

Another one. Dak to Chargers for pick 6 straight up.

Depends on who's on the board. Is Tua still available? Did we sign a QB in FA? If we signed Brady for 2 years then its a no brainer.

I can't see Tua being available at 6 but you never know.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one. But I'd take Herbert 4y/26m 9m guaranteed over dak at 40m per year. Herbert reminds me of Dak with a better arm. I'm not saying he's great...but he is capable of being a cog in this offense.

If you go veteran FA QB....pay Amari...pay Byron....you can try to get DT Chris Jones in FA...projected 18 million per year. You could draft DT D Brown at 6, and Delpit/McKinney at 17. That would be a team I would be excited about.

I like Herbert but he's not a sure thing and I dont see him as a plug and play guy. Even if you draft him at 6, you have to sign a FA and let him sit and learn for a few years IMO. I doubt any other teams sees Dak the way our FO sees Dak. I doubt very seriously any of these teams would take those proposed trades and I also doubt Jerruh would trade Dak even if those teams came knocking on our door and proposed them. Dak at $35M+ is a disaster and I imaging the rest of the league would agree. Hell even our FO is giving it pause. There is a reason. Hes not elite, not even close. Hes better than Cooper Rush, I dont want to live a year watching him either lol.

I don't trust Tua. Can't tell the future but he's a tough read.

Barrow in Dallas is amusing.

Ya'll can end the day dream now.

Its all a dream lol. We are living in a nightmare and dreaming of what a real/good GM might do. We all know none of it is going to happen and Dak is going to get his $35M+ to keep us average for years to come. Gotta keep the streak alive! 25++++

Like Eason more than Burrow. Like Eason more than all the guys with the exception of a healthy Tua.
