In the same boat here in MN. We've been closed/on spring break for the past 2 weeks. We are supposed to start "distance learning" on the 30th, but no definitive word yet. Our district developed their distance learning plan I'm about a week, so I'm sure that there will be flaws.

Damix has the big unanswered question. Will students get credits for this trimester if we've only met face to face for a week? Can we hold kids accountable for distance learning, not truly knowing what restrictions they may have at home? Our district is one-to-one with ipads and have distributed hot spots for kids without wifi at home, so that cuts down on some excuses. But I do not see any district really playing hardball with a family over distance learning credits.

My mom got a note of leave of absence since she is a respiratory therapist/now has a cough and came in contact with a co-worker and a patient that both have it. She is 70 years old, so this basically is probably going to lead to her retirement, which is for the best. Just hoping the cough isn't leading to anything but seems to be minor so far.

Good read. Iíve read many similar op eds in the past week, someone on here also posted that video of the Italian intensivist which was eye opening.

We are seeing a spike of positives in our community. I have those three, but just tonight another two people I had to admitóone who will likely be getting intimated tomorrow if they remain in decline. We only have so many vents

Hope your Mom is ok Brodie.

That’s got to be awesome to have some dedicated to saving others like that for a mom.

Here is a positive study that completely contradicts the imperial college model that predicted we were all going to die.

Basically says millions are already infected and most of us will be ok.

I'm gonna make my own model that says some will be okay and some won't.

Anyone have a good grasp on what this bill means for most people? I see who is supposed to get what money but not seeing anything about if we have to pay it back or not.

Nothing owned by Trump can receive loans from it so I'm satisfied. I'm sure they'll figure some way around it

Hospitals not testing employees until they have a fever seems insane. But all of them are doing it that way.

No repayment but it's a single 1200 check to people making 75,000 or less.

Frustrating that the underlying info is pay-walled. This "feels" right to me - it's hard for me to believe that, in a disease where a fair number of people are asymptomatic or have really, really mild symptoms, that this wasn't spread *far* more broadly than anyone's seeing so far. Especially when it had nearly two months without being on anyone's radar in the West.

I think the accepted reaction so far has been that if you don’t have a fever you’ll be fine. But, probably spreading it around.

Yeah it’s dumb.

italy was the wakeup call for the west. if it had only been china and iran suffering, no one would have cared until it hit them.
