The Cyberpunk 2.0 update is pretty great. I'm very much looking forward to the expansion.

I've decided to start a fresh character for it. I made some weird decisions back when the game was barely playable.

You almost have to. It's not even the same game when it comes to gameplay. They completely changed the skill tree. If you use an old save you will still have to respec your skills.

I'm glad they are turning the game around. The company and people put a lot of undue expectations on the game at release. Even the Witcher 3 which people loved had a ton of problems at launch.

Putting it on last gen was a huge mistake. I'm selfishly glad the expansion is this gen only even though I know last gen people are mad.

I would like to play Cyberpunk but I have three Baldur's Gate 3 saves on the go and I just don't want to stop playing

Going to go pretty hard trying to finish BG3 next week. Friends in town this weekend kind of killed my video game plans.

Haha, yeah. I have so many games I need to get to (finishing BG3, Starfield, Cyberpunk, etc.) but we've just been slamming this Escape from Tarkov wipe pretty hard which takes up most of my free time. Plus been playing CS2 with some friends as well.

Against my better judgement ( I have way too many video games to finish up) I blind bought this.

It is far from perfect. I hate the button press for a crit gameplay mechanic. Probably why I never got into Super Mario RPG. It just seems like there is some disconnect between the games window for these mechanics and my brains window for them. That being said, there is something so god damn satisfying about reflecting Moonerang a bunch of times. I heard about it being a highlight before getting the game and I dismissed as fluff. How wrong I was.

It absolutely scratches that SNES rpg itch that has kind of lost its way recently. As someone who puts CT and FFVI as the pinnacle of the JRPG, I am definitely going to get Chained Echoes next plus OT2 is on sale for 25% off. One thing I don't like about Switch games is they never get cheaper. OT is still 60 bucks. Gotta flex my economic vote in support to old school JRPG'S!

I only got like 3 hours into it but If I had a Steamdeck and used mass transit I would play the shit out of those kind of games. I hope this updated 16 bit style sticks around I love it
