Idk why he didn't challenge the league when he could have. The first round pick was the only real punishment that bothered me.

Pretty sure there was an under-the-table deal to take it in exchange for letting the Brady suspension go. There's no way he wouldn't have challenged it otherwise.

If Kraft made a deal with Goodell and he pulled the rug out from under us I would fucking bring that shit out to the public so fast. Just reign down a shit storm if thats what happened. It would be glorious.

Yeah, but (depending on the details) that could end in Kraft losing the team.

So Jake Bequette is totally making this team as a TE. I heard he made a great play in practice and then remembered we cut Tim Wright so we could get him reps. Why was this offseason so terrible?

Also who do you guys think wins the LG spot between Kline/Devey/Cannon, Mason, or Jackson?

Who do you think is going to be the surprise infuriating cut/trade of training camp this year. It always happens. Might as well call it now. My money is on Vollmer, but Cannon is a bit to secure of a backup so I think that makes too much sense for the BB surprise roster mover of training camp. It has to be somebody who will really hurt us. Blount maybe?

Dobson being cut would be pretty annoying.

I haven't looked at the cap in awhile. I wouldn't bet against Vollmer being cut, though.

I really wouldn't even care if we cut Dobson. Lafell already fills that role and has Brady's trust.

Well if it's a BB training camp cut it would clearly have to be both of them in order to make room for Brandon Gibson and some random slot receiver/special teams development prospect.

Butler apparently is looking legit. Now to figure out how the rest of that dumpster fire is going to shake out. Unfortunate that it comes when our front seven could end up being pretty formidable too. Sheard apparently looks very good.

Reiss has been very high on him, said hes the most consistent dl getting pressure every practice.

Also not sure what to make of the hearing today. Sounds like both sides were attacked pretty hard. Really just wish this were over.

Not a strong start for Grop last night. His stat line looked really good x Josh Boyce, I think he was something like 17-20, but he threw into coverage a lot, and his pocket presence which was questionable in the Buffalo game last year was abysmal last night.

On the plus side each of our defensive lineman had moments, especially Trey Flowers who hopefully isn't hurt too bad. I really see him developing into Ninkovich's replacement. They're similar technical pass rushers that are stout against the run. James White had a couple of moments too which were his first 2 ever. He still goes down immediately whenever someone makes contact with him though.

Both OG's had their moments good and bad last night. Mason has a long way to go in the pass game, but his mobility and run blocking is impressive. I can see Jackson as a solid starter, but kind of like Fleming I don't see the athleticism to be anything more than a replacement level player.

Preseason is a lot less fun when you don't have any receiver or running back prospects that are intriguing.

Gibson was out there some of the time. Boyce was an absolute dumpster fire, but Grop had issues beyond the crappy personnel around him. There isn't that much good Developmental offensive talent in camp though, which makes sense because we never have offense focused drafts. It makes our preseason offense look like a dumpster fire every year which hurts our Developmental QB's for sure.

I thought I posted this but I was happy with the way our defense played against Rodgers first team unit, especially after the big starters left after the first drive.
