A great core exercise I've been doing is taking a bosu ball, inverting it so the the flat side is up, then in a pushup motion balance yourself on it, and take your knee and extend it to the opposite elbow, hold for 3 seconds and then do the other knee.

10 reps, 3 sets. Your core is going to burn so much. Balancing the bosu ball while crossing your knee puts a ton of stress on the opposite side of your core, and holding it for 3 seconds you really feel the burn.

I will never do that, or probably anything else, with a bosu ball.

That is essentially the same thing as a spiderman crunch. You just get in the plank position and bring your knees around and up to your elbow. You're lower than with a ball I believe so probably works you a little harder too.

Pretty sure this is dg's actual idea of fitness, ignore the rest of his posts accordingly.

I think balancing the ball adds a level of stress to it. I definitely feel it opposed to a regular spiderman crunch.

Kill, what's wrong with using a bosu ball?

I just think bosu balls look goofy and would prefer not to use one.

I saw a dude squatting heavy on top of a bosu ball once. That's just dumb. Well not heavy heavy, just 1 45 plate on each side, but still dumb.

But they're great for stability exercises.

Starting 5-3-1 again so I maxed out to see what to start at, hit 285 on bench! Gotta get to 300 now.

I hate people that can just naturally bench a lot. I don't think I'd be able to hit 285 without roiding or getting horribly fat.

I didn't touch a weight in May/June either, gotten so much stronger now that I'm actually eating properly.

I think I got to 385 on deads before I stopped. Only had one leg day for the last while and was doing squats. Started doing deads a few weeks ago again.

I'm sad I've dropped 30 pounds and gotten so much weaker because I didn't lift as much as I should have while dieting

flexibility has helped me so much in a lot of my lifts and after not lifting for so long and losing a lot of my flexibility it's been rough trying to get back into things.

Do you do static stretching or dynamic or a mix of both? I used to be able to lift w/out much stretching no problem but now if I don't my lower body suffers for it. Dynamic stretching, foam roller, and a lacrosse ball are pretty important.

Well at least try to walk every day. If you want to kick it up a notch, run every day. That is just a start for losing, and then the gym would be a good idea.
