Movies are fun.
Did anyone see Pitch Perfect 2? Was it as bad as it looks? The Mrs. is really bugging me to go see it but I feel like it looks terribad. |

I enjoyed it, but the ending was horrible.

Brodeur was dead on about It Follows. It's a really fucking great horror film. It was certainly not as well made as Mad Max but I find myself thinking about the it more than I think about Mad Max (that could be due to the fact that the premise is very similar to a reoccurring dream I had as a kid). Highly recommend it.
I'd like to see a movie today but there is really nothing out that I care to see. Poltergeist just isn't doing it for me. Also for the record I watched Furious 7 and I really wanted to like it. I really did. I thought it was fucking bad. |

There were absolutely some parts that maybe weren't executed the greatest but I loved the atmosphere of the movie. I never quite knew what what happen next and the mythology, while not fully explained, I thought was really fucking cool. The music was also kind of perfect. I enjoyed it more than every recent horror film since, well I can't even recall a recent horror I liked more. Babadook was fun but never gave me a sense of dread like It Follows. I thought The Conjuring was okay. I can't remember what the it horror movie the year before that was. I loved Cabin in the Woods but that was not at all a straight horror.

The Guest is a pseudo horror that is really good that Alex told me about. If anyone is interested in that...
Also, I like Furious 7. And Pitch Perfect 2. Haters gonna hate. |

I'm going to see Mad Max this week, and maybe catch The Avengers. Hooray for a week without the family.

I really enjoyed The Guest. I suppose it could be considered a pseudo horror but I definitely see it as more of a thriller. The soundtrack is absolutely flawless.
I still can't think of any really good recent horror movies. Help me out people! |

Hmmmmm. I really enjoyed The Taking of Deborah Logan but nobody has seen that. I suggest anyone looking for a horror movie do so. The Mist was fun and had a really killer ending. The Descent I loved but that came out 10 fucking years ago. Let the Right One In was really hyped but for some reason I have neither seen it or the american remake.

I would still say Babadook and It Follows were both great. There have been plenty of solid borderline horror movies the last few years as well.

The worst part was all the unfunny one note characters, but it's still fun enough with properly lit mups.

You're Next. It's from the director and writer of The Guest. You'll love it.
