First day back at the gym was rough. I lost on average about 20 lbs from each exercise on the last set. So if my 3rd or 5th set was say 150 lbs a month ago, I'm down to 130 now.
That's a big loss. Stamina got impacted too. So it's going to take a solid month to get back to where I was. My muscles are recovering slower too. Probably bc of the shock to my system, after a couple of sessions my body will recover like it used to. But today sucks, my lats are so sore I actually lost 50 lbs on my lat pull down. That was my biggest loss it seems. Today is leg day so I'll see how much I lost from my legs. |

I have to have a leg day one of these days but I had such a break from working out this past month has been upper body.. my legs are pretty strong just from playing ball a lot and naturally just having short stocky legs but still need to put in the work..
Squats are not happening though. |

I have a groin tear, so leg and ab workouts are pretty much out. So I just double up on upper body now. Probably the smart thing to do.

Running workouts are fantastic for tone. I generally run every day in the summer then work out about 3 times a week. Honestly running long distance like a 5K is nice if you can find a scenic route to go. Sprint workouts on the other hand, do tremendous things for my body but god damn do they suck.

Morning: M, W, F - Run Tu, Th, S - Abs Afternoon M - Back Tu - Chest W - Deadlifts/Yoga Th - Climbing F - Nothin S - Squats/Yoga Maybe biking/long walk on Sunday. |

I'm in a weird period in life where I just don't have the time to get a proper freeweight workout in, but running is fast and easy and a time for me to clear my head. It's something too that I don't mind doing alone whereas I've figured out I strongly prefer to have a lifting bud.

This damn over active thyroid is really fucking things up for me. Currently only lifting MWF mostly power lifting or my body gets too overworked if I add in all the other stuff. Springs > running long distance. I'll usually do some sprints on the basketball court or outside on a football field.
