Is the edge text scroll really that useful?

I haven't really used it too much, it's just more slim and just as big than the Note 3 so that weighed in on my decision since I have smaller hands. I loved my note 3 so we'll see how this goes I have a 2 week trial period where I could return it if I didn't like it for the note 5. I could see it being useful though checking scores and messages on the side would be easier i guess.

Glad I held off on getting a Shield Tablet. Fire hazard recall.

I was hoping the second generation one would be released soon, but haven't heard anything lately. Really want a tablet lately.

So the group messages I send out are now not being received (but they are showing as delivered on my phone). Individual texts are received without any issues. I haven't changed any settings, but this just started happening today. Anybody have any ideas? All I've tried is restarting my phone, which didn't help.

I have an iphone 6...

lol i have one they sent me a free brand new one in the box AND i dont have to send the old one back aka free tablet i couldn't be happier

A little more information:

Software update didn't help, neither did resetting the network settings. Group message works when I send to a group comprised of only iphones, but nobody receives anything if there is 1 non-iphone in the group. Turning iMessage off didn't help either.

I ended up turning group messaging off...so I can send to everybody at once, but they all receive the texts individually. Not ideal, but it's better than having to copy/paste the message 9 times (these texts are used for work related updates). If anyone has any insight I would appreciate it, as my customer prefers to have the updates in one group message.

They want both texts and emails so they can micromanage as effectively as possible.

that sounds like a fun job.

i'd probably go into an apple store or dial whatever line they give people who aren't near a store for help. i know other people who've had major issues with group texts on an iphone, but i don't think they ever figured it out.

Have you found any real benefit to the "edge"? I'm due for upgrade but don't know if I should get Note 5 or Edge+. Thing is I won't use stylus yet I feel the "edge" is a gimmick with no real benefit. If it wasn't for stupid exclusivity I'd be getting the GS6 Active.

You can mute conversations in group texts.
