The Nexus 6 is the phone if you want to get on Google Fi. Fi is basically using both the Sprint and T-Mobile networks with a straight forward $20 unlimited talk/text with $10 per gb. It also refunds any unused data and has wifi call/texting. I just had my mom move over and its been good for her.
The next Nexus should be out soon though http://androidcentral.com/project-fi |

Is it worth upgrading from your 6 to a 6S? Absolutely not. It never is, the S models are just a slight upgrade.
But it's still a very good phone for those in the market for one. |

Yeah, it's a marginal improvement, if any.
But if you are due for a new phone, hooray. It's got a nice processor in it and a nice camera. If I had a 5s. Nope. If I had a 5 maybe. Anything earlier, for sure. Also, I don't understand the iPad Pro. I guess with the add ons it's a nice laptop for creative types. Seems very niche. |

I think tablets in general have seen plummeting sales and they're struggling to figure out how to keep them relevant.
I just don't have a practical use for a tablet. Mine wound up just being used by my niece and nephews. They use it to watch their tv shows and play games. Most people I've seen who have a practical use for a tablet is when its used for children. The only reason why I upgraded my iPhone 5 to a 6 was because it was a free upgrade. Got 200 for the phone, and the 6 was 200 under contract. So why not. That's whats great about the iPhone, it holds its value so well, I'll basically get a free upgrade every 2 years as long as I have one and keep my contract which I see no reason to change any time soon. That's what ppl miss about the whole "apple products are overpriced" argument. They're really not. Because they retain their value so well over time, you'll actually wind up paying less for your phones then you would if you get an Android every 2 years. Tablets are really great when you're travelling... I wouldn't have used my iPad for more than about 5 hours total in the 20 months since I got home though. Anything I can do on a tablet I can do far more efficiently on my PC at home and anything I want to be moving for is just as doable on the phone without having to go and find wherever I left the tablet (should probably just leave it in the toilet like a magazine...).
Got to say the iPhone update was incredibly underwhelming, they haven't added a single feature since my iPhone 5 that makes me even want to upgrade, nevermind feel a need to upgrade. So my plan of running this thing into the ground continues to stay strong. Not to mention that the price of an iPhone is starting to push in the high end PC range as a comparison point. Dropping $1,500 on a phone just seems absurd. The longer Apple goes without Steve Jobs the more it seems like he literally came up with every single good idea they ever had. Have they come up with a single innovation since he passed? Like honestly, any new features at all? The competition isn't much better, it genuinely feels like smartphones have just completely stagnated, like they've hit their innovative peak and now all that anyone does is make them bigger/smaller/faster/megapixels!. I mean honestly, what can an iPhone 6s do that the iPhone 3 or 4 couldn't do (insert Samsung numbers here, it makes no difference)? |

Phones in general have reached a plateau. Apple pay will eventually be the next big thing but it's not ready to be mainstream yet. And ppl like myself don't trust it at all so it's a slow process.
I could see laser keyboards being eventually part of phones but that technology still isn't good enough yet either. Everything else is just a gimmick. Foldable screens have potential. But other than making them smaller thinner faster etc, we don't really have anything ground breaking on the horizon from a hardware standpoint. That's why they're testing out the wearable technology market. Eventually this will replace your phone altogether but we're not there yet either. |

If I had a phone that could play HS, I'd be happier, but there's really no point in upgrading from my PhotonQ. Thought Sprint might give me a free upgrade in exchange for another contract, but they were just trying to rip me off (as I suspected). 10 days until I'm off my contract and onto a really cheap plan. Can't wait.

My Nexus 4 is still doing ok. It's been better since I switched to Cyanogenmod. Better battery, though still not great. Hoping to get another 4-6 months out of it.

I kind of want a Moto 360. Good looking watch that happens to be a smart watch.

The moto360 is the best combination of functionality and looks from android wear.
I think the best looking android watch though is the Asus Zenwatch. The problem is it doesn't have the heart monitoring or some of the other fitness bells and whistles that other smart watches have. ![]() I'm glad that android wear is now compatible with the iPhone because now this will drive up the competition and perhaps bring down the price of future iterations of the apple watch. |

I've been limping along with my Nexus 4, hoping to get there next version of Android. But I stepped on it yesterday, massive cracks. Screen touches are unresponsive.
So I bought a Nexus 6, on sale for $350. Holy shit this thing is huge. 6" screen. So far I love it. Hopefully it lasts me 3 years like my N4 did. |
