The problem is they're also handing out tons of false DMCA copyright strikes, which is a big deal for content creators big and small. They got a few streamers banned for watching the Nintendo created trailer for the new Zelda game. Like, wtf, why?

I know most people don't care about it, nor should they, but they're just a really shitty heavy handed company for no reason.

I could see them being overprotective considering the course of the company.
Going from being a king of video games to alsoran post Xbox/psx. Revitalizingi through the niche Wii, slumped a bit with Wiiu and got another revitalization through the Switch, and Zelda was your prize IP that carried you through thick and thin,

When your IP makes it to the PC realm, it is nigh impossible to stop the floodgate of modding, and usually it is positive to encourage it.

Maybe for they should introduce a Nintendo Switch Pro which allows you to mod switch games, which encourages the modders, but of course they have creative control of any officially sanctioned modding.

I mean they are violating TOS by modding Switch games, but it's absurdly stupid on so many levels. Modding only adds life and longevity to games (just look at Minecraft, GTA, Rimworld, etc.). And it's not even hurting their company. They just have a massive collective ego at Nintendo that don't like seeing their core product changed.

It's really weird.

People who pirate games wouldn't have bought them otherwise. This is known and proven, and modding communities help sell more copies of games.

It's not like Nintendo online games are seriously competitive at all.

The corollary is music. I have 'illegally' downloaded 1000's of songs I own the physical album for.

I have torrented anything in a long while. I used to do a few games when I was young because I couldn't afford them and wouldn't have been them anyway.

Same with music. I would literally never buy music except for a rare CD back in the day. Was just getting stuff I'd never be able to afford or would buy anyway.

Ran into my first Yuzu - Breath of the Wild problem, there is a puzzle that requires gyroscopic control and thus I can not solve it

Those puzzles are all throughout that game, so either get a controller or give up now. I wonder if you have a PS controller if it will work with like a Brook converter.

I actually got so sick of trying to do them with joycons that I bought a Pro Controller.

Spider-Man 2 definitely looks great.

Everything else in the Sony conference was absolutely shit (okay, exaggerating a little, but that has to be the worst Sony conference I've ever seen).

Hopefully Nintendo, Xbox, PC Gaming Show, or the Summer Games Fest can bring some new and interesting games.

Man. How disappointing is the PS handheld? All it does is stream from your PS5. Pretty sure there are toasters that can go that.

I saw a picture and thought, "Oh, so it will be like a switch." Then saw it's just used for streaming from your actual PS5, to which I'm really unsure what the application will be? No one is going to do that away from home and if you're at home, just play your PS5.

Spider Man 2 looks awesome though, I can't wait.

Sony feeling a bit out of touch recently. PSVR2 no one really cares about. Weird hand held no one cares about. The only really interesting exclusive they showed was Spider-Man 2.

Which does look cool, don't get me wrong.
