This is easily the longest I havent been to a movie theatre in 30 ish years. Will be nice when I'm able to again. I did buy my big TV and soundsystem and have my basement set up so really looking forward to the new Godzilla tonight. Should give me that big spectacle feel.

Godzilla vs Kong was fucking awesome.

Loved the Brian Tyree Hill/Millie Bobbie Brown/Deadpool kid storyline. Special effects were awesome. Best giant monster fight movie of all time.

Yeah an overall fine movie that is exactly what it is. I didn't know anything about it and I had a fun enough time. Probably a good movie to test out my speakers again later. I couldn't give less of a shit about the people in the story but they have to fill out the runtime with something other than monster fights.

This was probably the only human characters I liked. They weren't super fleshed out or anything but I like the actors so I'm probably biased.

I think they said they evacuated the city, but if something like this happened there would definitely be people who refused to leave so maybe a few million.

Agreed with most of the thoughts in here. It looked fantastic and in the end thats 90% of a Godzilla/Kong movie grade. I actually thought the Millie Bobbie Brown storyline was the weakest part of the movie but to each their own.

It wasn't really the storyline of those 3 that I liked, I just thought they were entertaining together.

The humans in general I did not care for. I do agree that I liked all those actors though so while their storylines were dumb I didn't mind them as interludes between monster fights. I wish the end fight had been longer and the movie had issues but even thinking about it today it makes me smile. Lots of fun and I appreciated that everyone involved seem to be okay with things because those things made me laugh

Hot take but I enjoyed Godzilla vs Kong more than every Avenger movie. It's certainly much more enjoyable than the fucking 4 hour Snyder Cut. Blows the shitty Transformers movies out of the water. I don't know what it is really because Godzilla vs Kong is really fucking dumb, maybe I have a soft spot for CGI apes. It's what dumb blockbuster movies should be

I'd say that like 90% of the marvel movies are just not good movies, kind of superficial, and don't take any risks. They are movies for kids and I think it's weird when adults take them seriously.

They spent like 30 minutes on their storyline with ultimately resulted in the kid dumping scotch onto a control panel and temporarily short circuiting mecha godzilla, it was really pointless. It was really pointless, but entertaining.
