True Blood and Dexter are good examples, but they never hit near the heights that GoT did. We sort of get a mini version of it with Stranger Things every season because people binge it all immediately, talk about it for like a week, then it vanishes from the face of the earth.

But yea, GoT ending sucked. This I have complete faith in (for reasons listed in a post above).

This just reminded me that they broke homeboy's spine in the literal first episode, and spent 8 seasons building up this clown just so he could NOT use his superpowers in the one singular way he could help the entire human race.

All of that buildup and then in the Battle of Winterfell he warged into that group of ravens and seemingly just kind of flew around. They never returned to explain wtf he was doing the whole time.

It's still so fucking wild that they were able to fuck up so bad that the entire fanbase essentially dropped the show overnight. It was one of the biggest things in the country and they just nuked all enthusiasm for it. Every now and then I remember how good the show was and consider putting it on, but the feeling of how bad they fucked the show up completely submarines any desire.

It’s only been four years since Negan debuted on Walking Dead, I would have guessed nearly a decade. Been a long run but that show toppled off a cliff of discourse

walking dead is hilariously repetitive. "let's go here to be safe... oh no a bad guy, better deal with it... oh look this place might be safe... nope, a bad guy.... how about here? oh no also bad guys... what about we split up? no wait, we gotta get back together because of, you know, a bad guy!" rinse and repeat. maybe kill off a stagnant character for the growth of another.

1. Is this based off George's storytelling or some spark notes that the show runners have to pieces together shittily?

2. Will there be more nudity the seasons with the most nudity were the best seasons change my mind.

It's based off of George's work, which is extensively detailed in Fire & Blood, the book that dives into the history of the Targaryen reign as Kings in Westeros. There's a very clear beginning, ending, and lots of detailed events in between with a ton of great characters.
