Pretty sure i've heard several times them identify Arya's sword as Valyrian steel.

Yeah, just thought it was cute that they showed her nearly giving up one of the most powerful weapons in the world but hid it instead for emotional reasons. Women.

Needle def isn't Valyrian, it was made by a blacksmith at Winterfell, all the Valyrian steel swords are from Old Valyria, though Oath Keeper & Widow's Wail were forged from Ice. Not sure if they still have their mystical powers(aka can kill a white walker)

It would be interesting if the Nights Watch decides it needs to start accumulating the remaining Valyrian steel blades. That could potentially have Sam needing to return to house Tarly to try and get his former family sword from his father. The sword he was sent to the wall for being too cowardly to deserve.

In addition to the above, other Valyrian steel weapons known to exist include Heartsbane (House Tarly), Lady Forlorn (House Corbray), Red Rain (House Drumm), and Nightfall (House Harlaw).
