The more I read about the symptoms I think I might’ve already had it about a month ago in mid February.

Same. Two weeks ago I had the symptoms for about 3 days. But I also had a stuffy nose with it so it might not have been the virus. But I did have a fever for two days.

January 20th was the first confirmed US case I believe. So there’s a good chance some of us may have already had it and confused it for the flu

Definitely was sick a couple weeks ago. I went about a week without eating much and having no appetite. I had a couple days early last week with no energy. I kept having to rest just getting ready for work. Once I got going for the day it was fine, just a rough start to the day. This was a couple days before Rudy Gobert destroyed the world.

That's at least a mild misrepresentation of what I said and think.

Ok, he says the thread is almost total bullshit. Even during this still open ICU beds. Also, people are pulling slightly longer shifts occasionally but nothing crazy. Also, ICU docs and nurses see people die every day. There isn’t much different in that aspect. It’s busy and getting busier but don’t listen to that twitter dweeb.

It happens to all of us. I saw it a lot of different places and wanted to ask him. No worries.

FWIW he treated the first diagnosed covid patient in the us. And also we’ve been friends since college. Highly trust him. So that’s why I’m confident in his info but you don’t have to be. Just wanted to give you my reasons.

Somehow the school I teach at is still open and I’m expected to go to work tomorrow and be surrounded by children covered in germs even while several students have older siblings whose high schools have confirmed cases. I’m definitely getting the Rona. Wish me luck boys.
Yikes. Good luck with all that. There is ZERO opportunity for "social distancing" in schools. Our school closed starting tomorrow. Spring break is the following week. Then we should have a plan for e-learning starting on the 30th, just in case.

Removed per your edit, Zak. I think the point is that I don't think the entirety of the issue is 'no big deal'. I think that a healthy under-40 getting it appears to be no big deal. I think the panic from people roughly our age is uncalled for, when it's not directly in relation to how it could spread to someone who *is* at risk.

I've still been hanging with friends who live within a few blocks of me. However small precautions still need to be made. We were supposed to have dinner with my wife's parents tonight at their house and that was just an easy thing to cancel. Why risk it? They're healthy but still over 60. We can see them in a month.

Yeah I don't want to argue about it. I just think a lot of people don't realize how this is going to blow up and affect people they know.
