not null, but if the county clerk doesn't want to give you a marriage license, then you (I guess) have to go to another county.

You absolutely know that during any sort of interview they are asking the potential clerk what religion they are. Only hope is they get caught/reported doing it but highly unlikely in most of Tennessee.

Someone needs to start a religion that only believes in marriage for same sex or interracial couples, and then refuse to issue marriage certificates to straight couples.
