Adrian Peterson was suspended for a full year for beating his son and then still got multiple jobs afterwards. He even admitted last year he still does it and yet nothing happened!!!

Zeke got suspended 6 games for maybe hitting a woman that deserved it anyway. Authorities did nothing and the NFL still took action. Tyreek beat an innocent child and broke his arm, if the NFL doesn’t suspend him at least a year, they come out looking like shit again.

His fiance "admitted" to being the one that hurt his son so who knows what will happen. The text exchange between the two was total bullshit but until the NFL ACTUALLY gives a shit about stuff like this, they'll do it and get more jobs. That's how it works.

Yeah anyone with an ounce of brains can see that was a total fake exchange and text messages in general should never be used as admission of guilt, but he’ll probably get off from authorities without charges because that’s what happens when you’re rich and famous. The NFL, if it has any balls whatsoever, should suspend him for a long time, though.

Tyreek is awful, but we know how this story plays out. Chiefs will eventually cut him after a ton of pressure from the media, he will sit out a year while doing the usual apology tour -community service, taking up religion, etc - then some team will get themselves a massive bargain and absolutely nobody will care aside from some slight outrage for a day or two.

It sucks, but is what it is. There's no clean solution, but maybe if a suspended dude signs with another team, the original team gets a comp pick or something.

That is the kinda bullshit that will happen and it will be ridiculous but I hope at least that happens. Teams need to be penalized for giving these players millions of dollars and the Chiefs should hurt for being the team to draft a dude who was clearly a piece of shit. I mean they've already made millions off of him so it's all fucked anyway.

Same thing that happened with Kareem. Chiefs will lose out on a top player at his position and the new team will face absolutely no backlash for the signing at all. None.

I think the comp pick thing is a good idea but they'll never implement that.

You can't penalize teams for drafting guys with troubled histories. That's a slippery slope.

The penalty is everyone should pressure the Chiefs to drop him. They lose out on talent. It's really not a penalty but it's something. That's what I was talking about.

Speaking from a football standpoint, there is no reason to release him. Releasing a top 5 talent at the position just for him to get picked up by another team after serving a suspension only hurts the team.

From an ethical standpoint, he should be released already. You can't condone that kind of behavior. But the Chiefs just went through this and now a top 3-5 back is playing for a conference rival with absolutely no penalty at all.

Agree they shouldn’t penalize teams for giving guys a second chance, but they need to find a way to hold teams responsible for their players’ actions.

If teams lost a draft pick for every 4 games their players were suspended or something, they would need to evaluate the character of their players more closely.
