Whats up fellas? I forgot I registered over here after Scotts forum was down so long. Thanks for the heads up Jas. Hopefully others will migrate over here too.

As far as our draft, it has A+ potential but it was somewhat disappointing passing on Spence, Bullard, Mills, Lawler, we took some risks with some really good players on the board. I hope it works out for us.

I was liking these projections and the evals..until the comnents on twill and collins..

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ected-starters

I wont pretend that twill is a probowler..but hes better than average. He didnt step up last year thats true when romo and dez went down. But with Romo out there, hes made some big plays in big games. He can be inconsistent idk. And collins lol. He was great last year, especially run blocking. I think he will become the most dominant olineman we have and thats saying something. The others are all technically sound and atheletic but he has that nasty streak you look for up front. I see some Larry Allen type traits. Free could be upgraded soon but collins..hes a probowler next season.

I agree on Collins. He missed some blocks last year but showed signs of becoming a dominant OG. As far as Williams, he's always been a Jag to me. Romo elevates his game just like he did for Austin and Robinson. I wish we would have drafted Keenen Allen, who D-Unit was heavily promoting that year. I think there's a decent chance Butler beats him out at some point this year.

If you were going to go with risk on premium talent, I would have swapped Smith for Jack. And I still like the Smith pick, just more of a now vs when thing for me.

Obviously, I love Elliott. You guys will too.

I've said it before, but when I was at that beautiful NC game 1.5 years ago and the stadium was drowning in cheers for Zeke after he dominated the Ducks, I had a strong suspicion that Jerry was going to somehow draft him.

He is a great player, one that is dedicated to his craft as well as being a bright kid that loves to learn about football. Meyer said that he is the best off ball player he has ever coached. It really shows. He will loves to block. He knows what it takes to make a play successful. And that attitude is contagious.

Another thing you will love is that the guy always falls forward on a play. He rarely gets pushed back. He gets the small and big yards.

I am super excited to see how he plays for you guys. I know that there are huge holes on your D, but I think you will be a much better team in the short and long term with Zeke on it.

Play action is going to be a thing again for you guys. Witten will be huge this season if Zeke pans out.

Oh I LOVE Zeke, I had him as 1B to Ramey's 1A so I love the pick and know he will have a bigger impact on our team than anybody else would have including Ramsey, but passing on Ramsey was tough especially since we could have gotten Booker or Dixon in the 4th. I would have drafted Spence in the 2nd and traded back into the 2nd for Smith if they wanted him that badly. If Jaylon turns into an all pro it's a great pick, but it's a huge risk and we need players NOW

I would've taken Ramsey, Jack, Prosise, Dak, Billings

But I still like the excitement we have after the draft the Cowboys gave us. Not gonna complain. We added some sexy and when we do that, that's when the Cowboys excel!

The thing I may've done is taken the cb alexander in round 2. I just think if you wanted to pass on the smith gamble, he makes more sense. He's what we needed at CB. A fiery competitor. Mo and carr are soft and need to be replaced soon. I'd rather see Scandrick back in the slot. Jack scares me. I don't see a long career there.

Those Collins plays remind me of Orlando Pace. Jesus that dude loves to run down the field and kill people.

I wouldn't have minded that either. There was actually a bunch of guys that we passed on that I would've been thrilled with.

Welcome, old friend.

I hope we can get a good amount of Cowboys posters on here in a less dumpster fire-y situation than DC.

Dallas has the most playoff appearances, the most Final 4s, and are tied with Pittsburgh for the most Super Bowl appearances. However, since 1996, they have a performance level that actually trails the Jacksonville Jaguars and is certainly a team that is getting by on reputation and history. They are far removed from where they once stood, and yet, they still can claim to have as many or more points than any other franchise. They were a dominant, dominant franchise for 30 years. So much so, that according to these numbers, the Cowboys had 101 points through the first 30 Super Bowls and just 8 points in the last 20. That equates to 3.3 points per season for the first 30 years and 0.40 per year in the 20 years since
Its sad how far we've fallen since the Jimmy days. If we can stay healthy and just play average Defense, we should be good enough to make the playoffs this year. Hopefully when Lawrence and Gregory come back we'll have a D that can make some plays and compliment what our Offense does. Our Offense should put up top 3 numbers if we can avoid the stupid penalties we have committed in the past. I really hope this is the year somebody steps up and beats out "False Start" Free.

In the I really hope category - Of course Romo staying on the field but a couple of other I really hopes -
1- Maliek Collins makes an impact, maybe helps Gregory and they form a dangerous tandem as they did in Nebraska.
2- Anthony Brown makes the team and develops into a player that can push for a starting role and replace Carr or Mo. The sooner the better.

Zach Mettenberger has been cut. Ya'll think we should put in a claim for him? I would think he'd be an upgrade to what we have now.

Linehan has a man crush on Kellen Moore, I don't think he is going anywhere upgrade or not.

Titans cut him instead of cutting Cassel and Alex Tanney. Most likely pass considering we already cut both of those guys. He was a bit of an immature idiot his first year would be interesting to see if he has matured enough to develop.

I know im a little late on the draft thoughts but:

Zeke is going to have a huge impact this season and going forward but I would rather of went with Ramsey. It may be a flawed way of thinking but even if Zeke was graded slightly higher, if they were even in the same ball park Jalen should have gotten the edge with both on the board.

I know we can't look too much into the future but having 4 players in the secondary on 1 yr deals is kind of scary and having someone that can fill any/ all off those holes would have been so valuable. That and the 2017 RB class is stacked with big time talent.

My picks would have gone:
1) Jalen Ramsey DB, FSU

2) Noah Spence DE, EKU

3a) Jaylon Smith Notre Dame(I believe he would still be available at this point)/3b) Andrew Billings

4a) Maliek Collins (Also believe he would have been available later)/4b)Andrew Billings NT, Baylor

Big fan of the way the team handled the three 6th round picks.... I would have rolled with McFadden/Morris/Dunbar and tried to add a veteran QB is FA

Came out after the draft the Patriots were attempting to trade up for Jaylon in the 2nd.
