I would be shocked. He is a god at MSU.

But love of school and a shitton of money could change that. Plus it's a good job security type of school. They've tolerated Spurrier's mediocrity for far too many years.

Zach*, and nah, I think University of Tennessee is the place for me. Its the closest big school near where I live, plus the other reasons before.

I think JoeJoe is right about Dantonio.

No Zach, Tennessee is not the answer. You'll then be cheering for an SEC team and that is just awful. I say choose West Virginia. Their fans are good people and burn couches.

Most big schools burn couches tbh. Ive done it at VT when I had my 21st birthday there. And whats wrong with the SEC?!

Multiple sources saying UCF, Cincinnati, BYU, and UConn to Big XII in 2016.

Road stretches are going to be terrible in that conference.

What terrible additions. Hope that Longhorn Network was worth it.

Now, they just have to get rid of Chris Fowler and Lee Corso.

BYU was the obvious pick. UCF brings Florida recruiting, top-20 media market, and the 2nd biggest student body in the country. Cincinnati isn't an awful selection for what is out there. UConn makes no sense whatsoever. Far away, mediocre media market, awful football.

But there aren't a ton of options. Teams like Houston, SMU, or Tulsa make more geographic sense, but that doesn't seem to matter as much anymore. If they want to expand their reach, I think Tulane would have been a much better option than UConn. They still suck in football, but at least Louisiana has better recruits, New Orleans is a better market, and closer.

UConn in Big XII might be a death sentence.

What's up with Boise St? You'd think of all the schools from "lesser" conferences out there, they'd be a popular target.

Yeah, it's a horrible horrible school. But the Big12 is full of mediocre schools, so I don't think that is the primary issue. It's all about TV $$$$... Boise St. does not offer that.

I think they go Cincinnati and UConn if they expand. That gives them a huge viewership footprint and some schools for WVU to play.

So many people fought to #FreeUAB and then 12,000 people are going to show up to their first game. However, there is talk that a new on-campus stadium will be built in the next 3-5 years. This should have happened forever ago. Legion Field is a dump, surrounded by a barb-wired fence, in an awful part of town. Thanks to the University of Alabama, they never had the chance to upgrade.

I seriously doubt it, but I hope the right heads roll as a result of this. Basically cost the school millions and destroyed the team for years to come for no gain.

And, pathetically, that's what this seems to be all about: UA not being a fan of UAB existing. It's kind of hard not to root for UAB... and I guess USA, too.

Basically this. You set the team back at least 4+ years, and since they kept the coach are they paying him for nothing this upcoming year?
