i fucking love it. it's crazy to not mind the best head coach in the nhl leaving because your minor league heir apparent is so good, but i totally didn't mind. and larkin. and mantha if he gets his shit together. and pulkinnen, if he learns how to do something other than shoot. i'm excited about the next few years.

Larkin is so stupidly good. I wanted another year of him, Werenski, and Compher in Michigan but there is obviously no need for it.

i'm really excited to see him grow, especially now that Z has lost like 24 steps. desperately need the next #1 C to step up. sheahan and glendening will be great 2/3, but neither one is cut out to play on the top line.

the wings have taken the 2 players i wanted the sharks to take in the last 2 drafts. lets see if they go for the trifecta this year although it would be hard considering how far apart they pick.

The man can develop talent. And he just wins, regardless of how many players the pro team is picking from his roster.

No love for nephew Bertuzzi after he has torn shit up with zero AHL experience in the playoffs. For shame.

mini-bert is great, but we have a glut of wingers. he'll be in GRR for a bit. athansiou, on the other hand, is also a beautiful human being. i don't think he projects to 1c, though. love his speed.

nah, there's plenty of time. they have scorers and crawford is generally average.

edit: he says, just before a soft power play goal that basically seals it.

He'll probably end up signing a cap friendly deal so Chicago can keep rolling three driving lines if they want to, while peppering in former Conn Smythe winners for fun.

But I say bring on the offer sheets!

Petry getting a typical ufa deal, which begs the question... why does Emelin have a no trade clause? Over 24 million committed to four defensemen and another 6.5 to Price. How very Canadien. This probably ends with us pairing Emelin with Gorges for cap floor reasons.

rumor had the wings signing petry a while back. not sure i'd want him for 6/33, and certainly wouldn't want him for the more he'd have probably gotten on the market.

meh. i don't mind the canadiens doing fuck all to address their mediocre offense.

Series has been pretty good so far. Got a taste of both Vasilevksy and Drouin today in case you forgot that Tampa is still getting better.

Combine's been going on downtown this week and it feels like there has been a lot of draft talk in general, lately. I am so ready.
