He shot what he thought was a coyote that killed one of his kid’s pets in the dark. It ended up being a dog. His batshit insane ex-wife made it out to be like he was Michael Vick because she wanted more in the divorce.

You are right though, King George reigns supreme. Top 5 Survivor player of all time without question.

He got almost to the very end on the sheer fact of being an extremely weird guy nobody was really aligned with and dominating challenges while cooking for himself in the middle of the night. He's the best.

You're telling me after watching him play you don't think he's ever killed things in cold blood? He was suspiciously good at the game, I mean I respect his game so much, his opponents weren't the strongest but he completely dominated the game. It's because he is likely an actual psychopath. Now through 5 episodes of Daisy Jones and the Six. Would recommend. The first two episodes I think are the weakest so far

Really liked that they fit Ashley Johnson into the last episode.

I think the season tailed off a bit and I would have liked that they split it up differently, but overall that was about as close to a perfect adaptation I could imagine.

Agreed she was great. Loved the voice actors for the game getting roles. I thought that finale was great

The overall storyline stuck to the game almost exactly. They took out a lot of the filler scenes/action to fit things into 9 episodes, which is my only real complaint but it is apparent they are focusing more for character driven storylines and don't want to spend time/money on superfluous killing scenes.

Yeah, that happened in university gym where Joel killed the cannibal. They really cut down that part of the game. None of it would have really worked in at show, though. If a monster like that comes out of the ground in movies/tv, multiple people have to die.

I really think they could have made it an episode longer with the same storylines but padding a few episodes with Joel and Ellie dealing with clickers or raiders. Nothing too crazy, but again I think they decided they wanted more human story and less spent on effects.

This is what did it for me, in a good way. They didn't make it a zombie show.

Yup I still think it's fucking awesome, that's the only thing I would change if I had to nitpick.

Season 2 (and 3 if they split it) has potential to be even better if they get the right actors. Storylines are more dynamic.

I would have looked to see more Joel and Ellie but I think the moments they had this episode were enough. Goddamn they both acted the shit out of their roles. The ending is what happens in the game, it does work better as a game ending but I loved how they did it on the show. Looks like game 2 wil be two seasons which makes sense. Really looking forward to what comes next, it only gets darker and more twisted.

Thematically this season matches the game. I have faith now that they'll nail the rest and I'm glad more people will now be exposed.

The ending was also pretty out of left field in the game, to be fair. I was curious if they'd actually do it for the show because it was so fucking weird and rushed, but I suppose they kind of had to.
