I'd change the order of those last three picks, but Pitts, Sewell, and Chase going 4, 5, 6, at least gets us back on track.

As a Giants fan, Jaycee Horn fan and someone who loves fenikz and likes the cards: I think that was a good deal all around

Thoughts on the top 10:

1) Jacksonville Jaguars - Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
- Easy choice. The 2nd best QB prospect of my draft-following lifetime. Easy A+.

2) New York Jets - Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
- Already heavily rumored, then all but confirmed when they traded Sam Darnold away. Though not without his flaws, he'll be a great fit in that style of offense, with shades of Mahomesian ability to complete passes on the move, at weird angles, and off platform. A.

3) San Francisco 49ers (from HOU/MIA) - Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State
- A talented prospect who will benefit greatly from the Kyle Shanahan offense. Will also benefit from a year behind Jimmy G, if they do indeed keep him. While it happened before this forum mock, something about trading three first round picks to get Fields (the third, at best, rated QB prospect in his class) doesn't sit right with me. Could they have stayed put and then traded up a shorter distance if Fields (or another QB) fell a bit? A for the actual mock draft selection, C for the circumstances leading up to it.

4) Atlanta Falcons - Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
- The first big surprise. They could have gone QB for a long-term replacement for Ryan, or a once-a-generation TE prospect in Pitts. They went with Sewell, the draft's top pure tackle who should lock down the position for a long time. B because Sewell is a great prospect, even if Lance or Pitts would have been a better actual selection.

5) Cincinnati Bengals - Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU
- Another long-rumored pick that came to fruition. With Sewell off the board, reuniting Chase with Burrow became a no brainer. A. (Would have been a C+ if they passed on Sewell.)

6) Miami Dolphins (from PHI) - Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
- Perhaps the top non-QB prospect in the class, the Dolphins land a player who will add a badly needed dynamic new dimension to the offense and should be an ideal safety blanket for Tua. A+, great move.

7) Detroit Lions - DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
- The Lions land the Heisman winner at a position of need after losing Golladay to free agency. Still, Smith's thin frame and lack of elite speed make him a questionable pick this high, especially where there are some other players who would fit other Detroit needs (QB, OL, whoever they consider the top defensive player). B- for filling the WR need, though Lance or Slater might have been better picks a other need positions.

8) Carolina Panthers - Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern
- The trade for Darnold reduces the need for a QB, allowing Carolina to go BPA. Slater is questionable as a long-term tackle, and this is high for a guard who isn't on the level of someone like Quenton Nelson, but he seems very popular in NFL circles. B because Slater has some questions around his long term position, but it does fill a major need.

9) Denver Broncos - Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State
- The Broncos have come up in talks for seemingly every QB at one point or another, and have to be thrilled that they can stay put and take Lance here. He has as much upside as any QB prospect in this class, but fell behind the top three due to his lack of experience and the experience he does have being on the FCS level. A for getting to stay put and fill a major need.

10) Dallas Cowboys - Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama
- Dallas needs help at every level of the defense, and Surtain is a fine choice who should come in and be their #1 corner on day one. A.

If Miami takes Pitts this would be their 2 TEs.
