I just go with the regular authentics in grey. At least currently.

I don't go nuts with shoes, but I need new runners and probably another comfortable, casual sneaker. Preferably in blue to replace the pumas I've worn out.

i have a couple pairs of vans and a few pairs of relatively plain air max 90's. i could use something better to wear with nicer clothes, though

I made a great decision. These are great looking, comfortable, and fairly unique. Way better than the Converse. We'll see how they hold up.

Never been more immediately pleased with a shoe purchase.

I got bootleg chucks from walmart for like 10 bucks. It gets the job done.

I'm a stickler for dress shoes but my sneaker game is straight garbage. I got black pair of bootleg chucks, a grey pair of running shoes for the gym and I think another pair of cheap sneakers.

I'll eventually make those air max 90s on nike id, but not right now.

I like AE but I'm never really formal enough to wear Strands.

Edit: I am thinking of Park Aves. Strands are nice. I have a pair of brown cap toed Johnston and Murphys that I bought on sale before I knew better. Once those wear out I will probably pick up a pair of Strands myself. I like cap toes more than wingtips.

yeah that was the dilemma i had since i probably won't be wearing the strands too often right now but if i'm spending $200+, i didn't wanna get a rubber sole or a dress/casual.

So I polished a pair of shoes and being the idiot I am, I grabbed the wrong shoe polish and polished them with a different hue of brown. Now they're darker than the original color of the leather.

Is it too late to reverse the process? I figure after a month or so, maybe if I clean them with a leather conditioner to strip the wax and then reapply the proper wax color it will go back to the original color? Or is it too late for that?

I goofed getting Kiwi polish, I'm just going to stick to AE polish from now on.

I mean I've read articles about how to completely strip and re-color shoes, so nothing is permanent. But the level of work you'll have to put in might be more than you want.

Yeah - you can basically re-color your shoes to anything with enough work. You're pretty likely to screw it up though.

Considering it's just a darker shade of brown, I'd learn to live with it. One polish couldn't have made a huge difference unless you are using way too much.
