I'm pretty sure I used way too much. I glop it on and then spread it evenly throughout the shoe.

Then let it settle into the leather for a good half hour to an hour depending on what I'm doing in btw polishing.

I don't do the gloss shining, that takes way too much time. I just strip the leather of existing wax, and apply one layer, let it sit, then buff it once a month.

Yeah - you are probably doing way too much. Glop it on should never be how you describe applying shoe polish. And letting it sit too long. I do 1 layer of leather conditioner, then 2 very thin layers of creme/polish. Takes me about 30 minutes all in.

Do you apply it with a cloth or the brush? I have my polish applicator brush I apply it with, then I buff it with my buffing brush and buffing cloth.

Every tutorial I've read online says you should let the wax settle in for at least half an hour?

I'm still a beginner at waxing. It's very possible I'm going about this entirely wrong.

Apply leather conditioner by hand, creme/wax with a cloth. Initial buff with a brush, then final buff with a cloth.

That's not how I do it, but I am using crazy thin layers of wax.

Grabbed these Adidas SL loop a few weeks ago and it's one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.Probably going to grab the white ones soon too.

It shines up fine for me. I mean, I don't have an insane mirror shine or anything, but they look good.

How casual? For casual sneakers, I love my Tretorn Nylites, but you can't go wrong with black (white rubber) Chucks. For casual leather, Clark's desert boot is a great go-to.

For basketball shoes, you really have to go to the store and try them on since fit is a lot more important when your ankles are on the line.

Idk I bought jordans off champs website and they came and were sparkly, which isn't cool for a guy imo.

But idk I don't think I am too picky so options are good.

I want to get a new pair of boots. Not quite a dress boot, but something nice for walking around the city (as opposed to a more rugged outdoors boot). Any suggestions?

Yeah I did, the price is still too high right now. Their 50% off sales are so clutch though, sounds like I just missed it. Sucks that I have to wait until July for the next one.

idk if the sales are as high as 50% off. i got my walnut strands seconds for $219 and i think it was about 25% off.

Don't care for the goretex on Chelsea boots. Easy to slip on and off though.
