The rise of Mitchell Robinson makes that KP trade look better every day. Sure he can’t shoot like KP, but his defense is unreal and we still have no idea what KP’s long term health is like

skillset required for most modern centers is just so... niche as far as ability goes

like clint capela came into the league a bumbling goof who dropped every pass and couldnt finish anything around the rim... now hes one of the best in the league at what he does. everything required of a modern center can be taught as long as the guy works on it.

so if you can find a kid with a knack for the game or someone who can be an impact player on defense like robinson with his shotblocking or capela with his ability to switch and move his feet, everything else will come if hes taught well and he works at it, it doesnt matter if hes terrible at everything else coming out of college

those types of centers are just SO much more useful than the skilled ones who can carry college teams. unless you're joel embiid level talented, at least.

The counter-argument here is how essential Bropez has been to the bucks with his outside scoring ability and what Jokic and KAT have been doing to carry their teams (not so much KAT with RoCo out like previously mentioned) Those teams aren't as successful with Clint there and honestly, Clint isn't as successful if he were in those situations

I guess they need to find the niche within the niche

Dolan banning a fan for yelling at him to sell the team is amazing. The Knicks are a shit show and it's going to be hilarious when they don't get Zion and neither KD nor Kyrie sign with them. They'll strike out on the major stars (again) and give a max contract to like Khris Middleton.

Regardless of decisions on Randle and Bropez, it was insanely apparent that filling their roster with Javale, Lance, Cool Beaz, and Rondo was stupid as fuck

Neither of the two even signed a big deal at all, they're making a combined 13 million this year. Probably would have been a better move than signing the Meme Team.
