I watched Darkplace for the first time and I have so much more meme context now. It’s really funny and absolutely could not have existed any longer than it did

Darkplace is the greatest 3 hours of comedy of all time. But even that lagged at times. But they knew it is a one off, and sometimes you need that British sensibility or else you will inevitably jump the shark.

But all the connected shows had their issues. Obviously I would say the IT crowd survived the best, and the Mighty Boosh did pretty well also.. But I will always love Noah Fielding in the British Bakeoff for this. Even though the best content he will ever be associated with is peeing on someone's face.

But Shitt's Creek lucked out. Basically it expanded Jim's Dad from American Pie to a sitcom. Eugene Levy obviously knows what he is doing (see Best in Show.) How they expanded that likeability over a large cast of characters over that many seasons is impressive.

They should have just ran with the coincidence. It is a comedy animated TV show people need to relax.

Plus if you are not a half wit, your first thought of ISIS would be Egyptian Mythology.

I am interested what they do with Arrested Development. I can see a one off send off, and I trust Ron Howard to do it right.

Tony Hale has the chops to pull it off, but Buster's reaction is key.

If this show https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8_Simple_Rules could deal with an untimely death, it can be done.

If I had any guess they are going to flip the dynamic upside down. Michael, who is always the adult, will have the biggest issue processing. Buster is always the child and portrayed as helpless with out his mom. I can see him processing the death seamlessly and being the rock and voice of reason for everyone else, where you would expect him needing all the help.

Westworld season 3 has gotta be one of the worst seasons of a show I've ever seen. This is awful. Really should have just been one season.

They had so much potential but didn't even make it one season before they just wanted to move the plot outside of the park. Could have had at least another season fucking around in one of the other parks before moving out. I made it I think an episode and a half into season 3.
