really enjoyed the first 2 eps of obiwan, i have a few nitpicks, and there was one really rough scene in episode 1, but overall im too much of an obiwan stan to care. im happy.

I really enjoyed The Madalorian but I have little interest in more of the star wars shows. I'm super happy for all of the fans who love this shit, but I couldn't be bothered to watch Boba Fett or this.

Mandalorian Season 1 before it became an advertisement for future Disney+ shows was solid. As was the Season 2 episode with Bill Burr.

Definitely not true. Plenty of animated stuff has been great. Mandalorian is really good. Haven't seen Obi Wan yet so we'll see.

I really liked Mandalorian, liked Boba Fett but mostly for the last few episodes which were more Mandalorian focused. Obi Wan did not do it for me. Really would like to see some KOTOR stuff

Obi Wan didn't do much for me but I'll keep watching for Ewan. But I will decidedly say the first episode of new Stranger Things is a huge fucking slog until the very end. Absolute dogshit storylines all over minus the main villain stuff through four episodes, even.

Obi Wan will be entertaining but it feels pretty forced, and yes most of the "action" scenes are really hokey so far. The hopefully deep dive into Obi Wan's mentality could be really good though.

My biggest gripe is they are dumbing down Obi to produce conflict, like dude knows every species and planet ever in the prequels but kinda forgot this one was full of criminals who block trackers.

Which forces him into shitty fight scenes when we know he normally just goes full stealth ninja

While it's not entirely convincing they are showing that in the years since order 66 he's purposely forgotten how to be Jedi. Some of it makes sense, other things (like that) are just dumb.

It'll be fun to watch and see him "remember" and progress.

The forest scene in the first episode is probably the worst shot scene I've ever seen in something with an actual budget. The roof top jumping Leia scene in episode 2 isn't too far off.
