Jurassic Park was written in 1990 and the movie was 1993

Lost World was written in 1995 and the movie was 1997.

Personally someone should make it their personal quest to make Sphere a good movie. For some reason that book resonated with me. Sort of like making a proper dune adaptation may be happening as we speak.

I took my 12 year old to see Men. In hindsight not the best decision but certainly will be memorable for him. A fun light family film. Nothing at all fucked up about it.

We actually did all enjoy it but I'm a bit in shock

I didn't know Sphere was a book, I will have to read that. Definitely a cool concept that could be done much better

I still wish someone would do the Annihilation trilogy and stick to the books

I loved Sphere the book. Something about it like you said. The movie not so much.

I saw a piece of shit found footage movie last night called Dashcam. Two or three clever shots and bits can't save a movie with a more annoying lead character than Jar Jar Binks, a nonsense plot, and the shakiest shaky cam that ever shook.

Brodie was right, On The Count of Three is fantastic and easily top 3 this year. Best buddy movie I’ve seen in a long time. Definitely recommend

I hate the lead character so, so much. I was watching it with WMD and we were very much cheering for her death the moment the movie started.

Yea I wanted to see it when it first came out cause I love Jerrod Carmichael, but couldn’t find a theater near me playing it. Rented it last night and did not regret it. Two great characters and performances from the leads, a great blend of drama and comedy (with some solid social commentary that could’ve been ripped right from one of Jerrod’s sets), some really pretty/well framed shots, and a great soundtrack. Really no complaints except for who they cast as Dr. Brenner cause I’d prefer to not think of Henry Winkler as a creep like that.

Top Gun 2 was good. The plot was fine but also stupid, the dialog was corny but fine, and the action was amazing. God bless the Navy budget.

“The action was amazing” is the sticking point to me. So many of these big budget movies look like fucking cartoons.

watched Crimes of the Future. interesting concept but kind of slow.

though I did enjoy the grim depiction of the future.
